NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS
Shadi A. Alshdaifat is the Head of the Public Law Department of Isra University,
Amman, Jordan. He teaches public international law, international organization,
international humanitarian law, and human rights law. He received the Bachelor
of Laws degree from Mu’tah University, Faculty of Law, Alkarak, Jordan, a Masters
of Laws in Comparative and International Law, from Southern Methodist
University, Dedman School of Law, and a Doctor of Juridical Science, Golden
Gate University School of Law. His academic experience includes numerous
research papers and consultative work with several law rms.
Christopher W. Carlson Jr. is a May 2015 Juris Doctor Candidate at George
Washington University Law School. Mr. Carlson is a Symposium Editor of
Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and Editing Member of Federal
Circuit Bar Journal. Previously, he has served as Law Clerk to the Oce of
the West Virginia Attorney General. He has published his A Supreme Debacle:
e Federal Circuit’s Opportunity to Retain Exclusive Jurisdiction of Federal
Whistleblower Appeals in 24 Fed. Circuit B.J. 293 (2014).
Esther Hava García, Ph. D., is Professor of Criminal Law at University of Cádiz
(Spain) where she teaches Criminology and Criminal Law. She has published
6 books and more than 100 articles on various issues related to Criminology
and Criminal Law, such as victimization and juvenile oending, criminal
environmental protection, reckless crimes, prostitution and tracking for sexual
exploitation. Professor Hava is currently advising the Conference of Ministers
of Justice of Ibero-American Countries (COMJIB) and the Central American
Integration System (SICA) on the harmonization of criminal legislation against
organized crime. She is also working with Transparency International on ways to
dene grand corruption as an international crime.
Devin Kenney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and
International Studies from the University of Utah in 2012. Since then, he
attended Michigan State University College of Law from which he graduated
in the top ve perecent of his class, magna cum laude in May 2015. Beginning
in August 2015, he will be working as a judicial law clerk at the Utah Court of
Appeals in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Valerio de Oliveira Mazzuoli is a Professor at the Program on Fundamental
Rights of University of Itauna-MG (Brazil), Adjunct Professor at the Federal
University of Mato Grosso (Brazil), Adjunct Coordinator of the Master in
Environmental Law Program at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (Brazil),
Guest Professor at the post-graduation law courses of the Federal University
of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), São Paulo Pontical Catholic University
(PUC-SP) and Londrina State University (UEL), in Brazil, and Honorary
