La Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas de este año 2005,la Cumbre del Milenio +5, en que se celebra el 60º aniversario de de la organización, será desde la Cumbre del Milenio del 2000, la mayor concentración de jefes de Estado y de Gobierno y de lideres religiosos, empresariales y de la sociedad civil. El objetivo es el aniversario y aprobar la reformadle sistema de Naciones Unidas, propuesta por la Secretaria General, y otras que eventualmente puedan acordarse.
