Having regard to the above application lodged on 9 November 2010,

Having regard to the formal declarations accepting a friendly settlement of the case,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:


The applicant, Mr Péter Gábor Kovács, is a Hungarian national, who was born in 1971 and lives in Baja. He was represented before the Court by Ms M. Regász, a lawyer practising in Budapest.

The Hungarian Government (“the Government”) were represented by Mr Z. Tallódi, Agent, Ministry of Justice.

The applicant complained under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention about the length of judicial review proceedings concerning a disciplinary measure.

On 16 and 23 March 2015 the Court received friendly settlement declarations signed by the parties under which the applicant agreed to waive any further claims against Hungary in respect of the facts giving rise to this application against an undertaking by the Government to pay him EUR 750 (seven hundred fifty euros) to cover any pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage as well as costs and expenses, which will be converted into Hungarian forints at the rate applicable on the date of payment, and will be free of any taxes that may be applicable.
