Having regard to the above application lodged on 19 May 2014,

Having regard to the formal declarations accepting a friendly settlement of the case,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

The applicant, Mrs Seadeta Žic, is a Croatian national, who was born in 1955 and lives in Rijeka. She was represented before the Court by Mr M. Zrilić, a lawyer practising in Rijeka.

The Croatian Government (“the Government”) were represented by their Agent, Ms Š. Stažnik.

The applicant complained under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention about the excessive length of civil proceedings.

On 24 February 2015 and 20 March 2015 the Court received friendly settlement declarations signed by the parties under which the applicant agreed to waive any further claims against Croatia in respect of the facts giving rise to this application against an undertaking by the Government to pay her 5,500 euros to cover any non-pecuniary damage as well as costs and expenses, which will be converted into Croatian kunas at the rate applicable on the date of payment, and will be free of any taxes that may be applicable.
