On November 2, 2015, the U.S. FDA, the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission, and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China adopted an agreement to enhance cooperation on food safety. After several years of discussion, the text was finalized and endorsed during a visit to Beijing.
