La Secretaría General de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA) reafirma su pleno compromiso con los principios, propósitos, normas y procedimientos establecidos en la Carta de la OEA y en el marco institucional de la Organización.
El Secretario General, Albert R. Ramdin, fue elegido por unanimidad el 10 de marzo de 2025 como el primer nacional de CARICOM en ocupar este cargo, luego de haber servido previamente dos períodos como Secretario General Adjunto de la OEA. A lo largo de su trayectoria profesional, el Secretario General Ramdin ha sido reconocido por su compromiso con el diálogo, la construcción de consensos, la transparencia y la búsqueda colectiva de la paz, la democracia, el desarrollo y la prosperidad en las Américas.
El Secretario General está plenamente comprometido con el cumplimiento de sus responsabilidades de conformidad con las normas, reglamentos y protocolos que rigen a la Secretaría General, y con asegurar la gestión adecuada y transparente de la Organización al servicio de los pueblos de las Américas.
