America, actuando a traves de la Agencia

los Estados Unidos de America para

Desarrollo Internacional ("USAID")
Para
El
Objetivo Estrategico, "Promover Una
:Jemocracia Mas Eficaz, Participativa y
Responsable"
Por cuanto
El
Gobierno de la Republica de Colombia y
el
Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de
America (las "Partes") firmaron
el
Convenio
General para Ayuda Econ6mica, Tecnica y
Afin
el
23
de julio de 1962 y la asistencia
proveida bajo este Convenio esta sujeta a los
terminos y condiciones del Convenio
General
Por Cuanto
Las Partes firmaron un Anexo a dicho
Convenio General el 27 de septiembre de
2000
Por cuanto
Las Partes, a traves de esta Enmienda No.
Uno, desean enmendar el Convenio para
obligar un incremento adicional de
Diecinueve
Mi11ones
de D6lares de los
Estados Unidos de America (US$19.000.000)
a los Cuarenta y Siete
Mi11ones
de D6lares
de
los Estados Unidos de America
(US$47.000.000) obligados previamente, para
un nuevo total
de
Sesenta y Seis Millones de
D6lares de los Estados Unidos de America
(US$66.000.000).

Between:
The Government
of
the Republic
of
Colombia
(hereinafter referred to
as
the "GOC'' or
"Grantee")
And
The Government
of
the United States
of
America, acting through the United States
Agency for International Development
("US AID")
For
The Strategic Objective "Promote More
Responsive, Participatory, and Accountable
Democracy"
Whereas
The Government
of
the Republic
of
Colombia
and the Government
of
the United States
of
America (the "Parties") have entered into a
General Agreement for Economic, Technical
and Related Assistance dated July 23, 1962 and
the assistance provided under this Agreement
is
subject to the terms and conditions
of
the
General Agreement
Whereas
The Parties entered into an Annex to that
General Agreement on September
27,
2000
Whereas
The Parties, through this Amendment
No.
One,
desire to amend the Agreement to obligate
an
additional Nineteen Million United States
Dollars (US$19,000,000) to the Forty-Seven
Million United States
Do11ars
(US$47,000,000)
previously granted and obligated, for a new total
of
Sixty-Six Million United States Dollars
(US$66,000,000).
