This conference provides

The theme of the conference is Boards at Work: How Boards Create Competitive Advantage. It is designed to bring

together two communities ± those concerned with Strategic Management and those concerned with Corporate

Governance and Direction.

Abstracts should be sent immediately. Full papers should arrive by 1

September 1999 (2 copies). Papers will be

considered for three journals: Corporate Governance,Long Range Planning and Journal of General Management.
