Submission Guidelines

Aim and Scope:

Bethlehem University Journal (ISSN 2410-5449) is a peer-reviewed scholarly

journal that was established in 1981. BUJ (Bethlehem University Journal=

the Journal) is published bi-annually by the Office of the Dean of Research

at Bethlehem University and is made available to subscribers online through

JSTOR.

BUJ publishes original, theoretically informed articles, which respond to current

debates in the literature and offer substantive analysis and original discussion

that aim to contribute to the advancement of the discipline in line with the local

and international ethical standards in research. BUJ publishes on a variety of

topics from different disciplines in both Arabic and English, and encourages

submissions that integrate contributions and research methodologies from

multiple disciplines (interdisciplinary research).

Types of papers that BUJ publishes:

• Original research articles in the various disciplines.

• Special issues on particular themes and co-edited with a guest editor.

• Review essays: These essays examine a cluster of important books on a

particular disciplinary or interdisciplinary topic, offering original arguments

about and in-depth analysis of new research developments and theoretical

trends that would be of interest to our diverse readership.

• Book reviews (should not exceed 1500 words).

• Interviews.
