Minamata Convention on Mercury. Kumamoto, 10 October 2013

Entry into force: 16 August 2017, in accordance with article 31(1) , the Convention shall enter

into force on the ninetieth day after the date of deposit of the fiftieth instrument of ratification,

acceptance, approval or accession. For each State or regional economic integration

organization that ratifies, accepts or approves this Convention or accedes thereto after the

deposit of the fiftieth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, the

Convention shall enter into force on the ninetieth day after the date of deposit by such State or

regional economic integration organization of its instrument of ratification, acceptance,

approval or accession. Any instrument deposited by a regional economic integration

organization shall not be counted as additional to those deposited by member States of that

organization

Entrée en vigueur : 16 août 2017, conformément au paragraphe 1 de l'article 31 , la Convention

entre en vigueur le quatre-vingt-dixième jour suivant la date du dépôt du cinquantième

instrument de ratification, d'acceptation, d'approbation ou d'adhésion. Pour chaque État ou

organisation régionale d'intégration économique qui ratifie, accepte ou approuve la

Convention, ou y adhère, après le dépôt du cinquantième instrument de ratification,

d'acceptation, d'approbation ou d'adhésion, la Convention entre en vigueur le quatre vingt

dixième jour suivant la date du dépôt, par cet État ou cette organisation, de son instrument de

ratification, d'acceptation, d'approbation ou d'adhésion. Tout instrument déposé par une

organisation régionale d'intégration économique n'est pas considéré comme venant s'ajouter

aux instruments déjà déposés par les États membres de cette organisation
