    As previously announced, the 161st Regular Session will take place from March 15 to 22 in Washington, D.C., at the organization's headquarters. The Commission has received requests for hearings and working meetings on all member countries of the OAS.   • IACHR expresses concern over executive orders on migration and refuge in the United States.

    The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) expresses deep concern with the executive orders on "Improvements to US Border Security and Immigration" and "Strengthening Public Security in the Interior of the United States," announced by the government of United States on January 25, 2017, as well as the executive order on "Protecting the Nation from Entry of Foreign Terrorists into the United States," January 27, 2017. The implementation of these orders aggravates the grave humanitarian crisis which affects all migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, which is why the IACHR urges the United States to abandon them.
